Methods: 250 new prisoners were investigated with EPQ (Eysenck Personality Questionnaire) and SCL-90 (Symptom Check List 90). Results: Compared with the normal, the scores of all factors in SCL-90 table of criminals were significant difference. Compared with the normal, the score of E, N and P were higher with statistic significant, but the score of L was lower, they were significant difference. Conclu- sions: There were many personality dysfunction and psychological symptoms in new prisoners; the influenc- ing factors of psychological health of prisoners were many.
