The alveolar bone (1) organizational structure (2) biology Unit 2 periodontal tissue Section 1 gums The surface anatomy of the gums The gum is the edge of the gum around the neck but not the movement of the tooth. Its color is slightly reddish. There is a wedge between the gums and the tooth, which surrounds the tooths neck. The depth of the uvius is less than 2mm in normal condition, if more than this depth is pathological and becomes periodontal pouch. Gingiva: the papilla is a papillary protrusion of the gums between adjacent teeth. In the posterior gum nipple, the upper part of the nipple is higher, and below the contact points of the two teeth adjacent to the surface of the joint, the lower flat concave down like a valley, called the gum valley.
