Abstract:Nathaniel Haan beings’ sin and evil. His deep-rooted consciousness of Puritanism is shoilar theme, namely, the process from the original sin to redemption. In the first part of this paper, the author discusses the basic theme represented in Haan Bro or the Bosom Serpent, Roger Melvin’s Burial and his masterpiece The Scarlet Letter. Moreover, the author summarizes discrepancies among these five on subject of sin. The second part focuses on the reasons e. Hae is influenced by his family life as it life.
