But where on earth was this ancient Shangri-la? There have been may guesses. ;Most people , especially those from Tao Yuanmings native place, believe that it should be what is now called the Yujing Hill, about two miles west of Star Child County （Xingzaixian in Chinese）, Jiangxi Province. The Yujing Hill is wedged between the picturesque Mount Lu and the mist-shrouded Poyang Lake. Standing at the summit of the hill and looking around, one will see down below level fields studded with hamlets and villages, where cottages stand in neat rows, footpaths crisscross the farmland, and rice ears wave in the winds. This is just the picture depicted by the poet in his lines: ;;Taking a close look, one will see chimney smoke curling up from the cottages at the foot of the hill, children frolicking on the threshing grounds or in the streams amid flocks of fowls, and farmers walking briskly and working busily in the fields. This is just the scene of a contented life of plenty painted by the poet in his essay “At the Head of the Peach Blossom Stream”. ;Thank you
