StudiesonAlgorithmsofAssociationRulesMining w ithItem Constraints Abstract Datamining,alsoknownasknowledgediscoveryindatabase(KDD),isoneof themostactivefieldsindatabase.Afterexisting,becauseofitswideapplication backgroundandrealisticsignificance,thistechnologyhasbeendrawinguponthe attentionofacademiccircle.Associationrulesminingisoneoftheimportantresearch aspectsofdatamining.Becauseithasrichresearchfruitsanditstheoriesbecome graduallymature,associationrulesminingisformingaperfectsystemandfacilitate thedevelopmentofthedataminingonthewhole. Theproblemthatthispaperwillsolveisoneofthesubordinateonesinthe associationrulesmining:associationrulesminingwithitemconstraint.Itsalgorithm significanceisthatwhentheitemconstraintisconsidere氏miningprocessreducesthe minedareasandthusimprovestheminingefficiency.Atthesametime,thiscategory algorithmgivesusersachancetoexpresswhatrulestheywanttomineandembodies thepertinenceoftheminingprocessandinteractivitieswiththeusers.Atpresent, amongthiskindofalgorithmsbasedontheApriori,Separatealgorithmisthemost efficientandrepresentativeone. Inthispaper,firstlywediscussresearchingstatusofdatamininganditsbasic concept,andthenanalyzetwofundamentalalgorithmstructuresoftheproblemof associationrulesminingwithitemconstraint. Secondly,makegeneralanalysistoSeparatealgorithmwhichisbasedontheApriori andpointoutthedeficiencyofitsjoinfunctionthatisusedtoconnecttworfequent itemsetstogeneratethecandidateitemsetswhichsatisfiesconstraintcondition.Inthe end,makerelatedimprovementandformanewjoinfunction.Thenewimproved algorithm avoidslargeamountsofunnecessary connectingcalculationwhenit generatescandidateitemsets. Soitdecreasestheminingtimeandthusimprovestheefficiencyofthealgorithm. Also,weitsdesignidea,designProcessandPerformancestudyarediscussedatlarge. Keywords:Associationrules ,ItemConstraints.
