Abstract
BeingthemostenergeticlevelofAmericanshighereducation,communiytcollege
hasitsowncharacteristicsanditsmultiplefunctions,andsoitcouldfmditsproper
placeinthesystemofhighereducation.
AmericancommuniytcollegeoriginatedintheJuniorCollegeMovementintheend
of20scentury.Becauseofcommuniytcolleges,numberlesstheNegroes,women,
poormen,handicappedpeopleandveteransinAmericarealizedtheirdreamsof
studyinginhighereducationinstitution.Itiscommunitycollegethatmeetscreatively
demandsofcountlessAmericanforhighereducationandmakebigcontributesto
Americaneducation,culture,economyandpolitics.Becauseofthesuccessof
Americancommuniytcolleges,manyothercountrieshavepaidcloseattentiontosuch
sorttermsystemofhighereducation.
Manycountriesoftheworldimitatethecommuniyt collegeofAmericanto
constructtheshort-termsystemofhighereducation,suchasmulti-subjecttechnology
collegeinEngland,thecommuniytcollegeinCanadaandsoon.Whatwecansayis
thatitistheglobaleducationpracticethatwestudythesuccessesandlessonsofthe
Americancommuniytcollege.
Thispapermainlyappliesthewayofmaterialssynthesisandhistoryanalysisto
demonstratetoperiodbackgroundofhowtheAmericancommun沁collegeproduce,
therunningfunctionsandcharactersandthedevelopingtrendinthefuture.Basedon
theanalysisandcombinedthepracticalsituationofthecountry,specially,therural
education,Istatethehypothesisconcerningtheconstructionofruralcommuniyt
collegeandillustratethenecessaryandflexibiliyttotheconstruction.MoreoverIalso
supplysomeopinionsandsuggestionstoitsexperienceinordertograntanewand
