Metapopulation(超种群) ? A group of subpopulations living in separate locations with active exchange of individuals among subpopulations. Unitary organism and modular organism 单体生物和构件生物 Unitary organism:each individual is produced directly from a zygote(受精卵) and the form and development of individuals is highly predictable. For example, mammals Modular organism: the zygote develops into a unit of construction, or module(构件), which then gives rise to further modules to form a branching structure, and the form and timing of development are not predictable. For example, trees 2. Population ecology: study on the relationship between population and its environments. Mainly include population temporal and spatial dynamics, inter or intra-specific relationship, population regulation mechanism. Population dynamics is the core content of population ecology. Contents of Population dynamics A. How many(number or density)、 B. what is its change(number change)
