Through the soil section on forestl nd slope in the gr nite re in Quxi w tershed of Y ngtze River, the preferenti l flow, soil infiltr tion nd r inf ll were observed by uto-memorizing pp r tus.The results show th t in the s me r inf ll, preferenti l flow c n be 2 166 times l rger th n soil infiltr tion in velocity t most. And the tot l mount of preferenti l flow observed is 5.5%～7.2%of th t of soil infiltr tion flow .Under the s me condition, the bigger the r inf ll intensity is, the e rlier the preferenti l flow begins.When the r inf ll 3 period extends 11 hours, the mount of preferenti l flow will incre se by 96 940 cm .The pe k v lue of pref- erenti l flow is positively correl ted with th t of r inf ll nd the qu ntity of r inf ll.At the s me time, r inf ll influences the proportion of preferenti l
