For the ancient city , taking the black and white ash as the basic color really counts. Rivers criss-cross the city, streets are built along the riverside and houses are built near the water, all these make up the city features. City Walls construct the culture of a city and build a culture of life here, because the walls is not only a historical relics, it is an important carrier of history and culture. Historic Fabric The Culture of Water The Culture of the City Wall 1.2Backgrounds Base is located in the ancient city of Suzhou City, Old Town is gradual declining. The original building scale and capabilities can not meet modern life, so imminent renovation of old city is important. What should be considered in the renovation of old city is that we must meet modern needs without destroying the original charm. China JiangSu SuZhou 1.3 Surroundings Classical gardens of Suzhou garden is a unique environmental advantages. There is an old river near the district, we can use it in our design. Buildings in the district are crowded, some residents cant get good lighting . The old district is not very popular. It is relatively narrow and don’t have parking spaces. 1.4 ?Analysis of Present Situation Overall Program 2.1 The Idea of the Design The program aims at building a park at the intersection of the old and new lots, providing the ancient city a ventilator own to the increasingly growing population, it can get a leisure green for the residents living in the ancient city.
