Li Ming hopes so .He would be nice to his students.He wouldn’t give his students too much homework on weekends. What might Wang Mei be when she grows up? Li Ming gives her some suggestions.a scientist,a doctor or an engineer. She hopes to be a doctor. Each of them will have a good future. be nice to sb. be good to sb. be kind to sb. 对某人好 Eg. 我们的老师对我们好。 Our teacher are nice/ good/ kind to us. I would be nice to my students. would 是情态动词,后接动词的原形。否定直接加not, 为wouldnt。 用法:(1)意为“乐于,愿意”,表示“意愿”, eg:我愿意为你做任何事。 I would do everything for you. (2) 用于第二人称的疑问句,表示委婉的请求或建议。 Would you please.....? “请你......好吗” eg:请你给我一杯咖啡好吗? Would you please give me a cup of coffee? (3) would like “想要“ would like to do sth.想要做某事 sick与ill 二者表示“生病的”意思. 她已经病了两个星期了. She has been sick/ill for two weeks. 区别:ill只作表语,不作定语,而sick可作定语. 例如“病人”只能说 the sick 或sick man/people .而不能说 the ill 或ill man/people。 might might是情态动词,后跟动词原形,否定为might not (1)表示推测,意为“可能”,比may的可能性更小,常表示没有把握的推测。 eg: 他可能在家 He might be at home.(可能性较小) He may be at home.(可能性较大) (2)表示请求,比may更委婉客气。 eg: 我可以问你一个问题吗? Might I ask you a question? too muchmuch too (1) too much “太多”,修饰不可数名词,修饰可数名词用too many. eg:我们有太多作业要做。 We have too much homework to do . 我们有太多书要读。 We have too many books to read. (2)much too “太” 后接形容词或者副词表示程度。其反义词是“a little” ”有点儿” eg: 这双鞋太贵。 The pair of shoes is much too expensive. 这双鞋有点贵。 The pair of shoes is a little expensive. What do you want to do in the future? Why?
