This paper reviews the novel and analyzes the main characters and the causes of their tragedies,not only aiming at having a better and deeper understanding of the thought of this famous novel in some aspects,but also,to some degree,being of great importance to get a further understanding of the writing style of Dickens and social background of Victorian Age.
