Geography space is studied form conceptive or cognition in geography, such as the research of geography class and space distributing. David Harvey have expatiated on space describe and geography class in his bookmaking of explanation in geography in 1971, his research has been established base well for the research of space concept in GIS technique. The problem which use compatible description way descript urban space hasn’t been settled, because the research of urban hasn’t special description tool, but borrow category of geography and architecture. The paper discusses the pattern of urban space: form aesthetics’ pattern, computer mode ling’s pattern, Geography Cellular Automata’s pattern, zoology sight plan’s pattern and make a conclusion is that four pattern don’t research on geography space. The research of urban imago is new cut-in dot for urban space’s study, the fit way of description urban may be find pass the research of cognition of human being for space. The paper put forward imago’s pattern to describe urban space and expatiate this pattern’s rationality and his basic structure: glossary＋syntactic rule ＋semantic rule. Key word: space information; conception model; urban imago 摘要：由于对“地理空间”概念的理解将直接渗透到GIS的数据模型和空间分析处理中，因此对地理空间的概念有一个较为深入的研究和理解是完全必要的。地理学中对地理空间在概念上或认识上的研究是很多的，例如各种地理分类、空间分布研究等等。英国学者大卫·哈维（1971）在其著作《地理学中的解释》中对空间描述和地理分类有精辟的阐述，为针对GIS技术的空间概念研究奠定了良好的基础。但使用适合的描述方法来描述城市空间却一直是未解决的问题，因为城市研究没有专门的描述工具，而是借用了地理学和建筑学的一些范畴。论文探讨了城市空间描述的模式：形式美学模式、计算机建模模式、地理元胞机模式、生态景观规划四种模式，得出这四种模式欠缺的是对地理空间的研究。城市意象的研究是城市空间研究新的切入点，通过研究人类对空间的认识，才能找到合适的描述城市的方法。同时提出了城市空间描述的意象模式，阐述了其合理性和模式的基本构成：词汇＋语法规则＋语义规则。 关键词：空间信息 概念模型、城市意象 摘要：论文通过意象试验阐述了人类关于在意象图中出现的区域、道路、建筑物的认知，利用这三个元素进行了意象图重构研究，城市意象图可以使我们了解居民对城市特点的感应和认识，借以测度城市物质空间及其文化风貌对人刺激的能力，以便为设计一个美丽的城市空间和城市环境提供依据。而意象图
