Abstract Teachers are the perpetrators of the ideological and political education; the teachers play an important role in the level of the Ideological and Political Education. The high-quality teachers of ideological and political course are good for the educational function, improving teaching skills, enhancing teaching performance, promoting the development of ideological and political discipline. Therefore, the quality of school teacher should arouse the attention it deserved. As far as Xinxiang ,a city in Henan province, after investigating more than 240survey of teachers and students in57 schools ,the article focuses on the structure of their education, professional structure, teachers’ values, heart health status, professional development and other issues, then the plight of teachers: teachers in the importance of status has not yet been implemented, the political program of reform is merely the surface, the knowledge light is weight imparting, particularly, the delayed entrance examination system seriously hamper the construction of high-quality teachers. In order to solve these problems, it needs the help of society, schools and the teacher.
