Money Profiles and Unethical Activity: An Investigation
of the Money Ethic Endorsement of Managerial Staffs
in China

Abstract: With two questionnaires named Money Ethics Scale and Unethical Activity Context Questionnaire,
which are designed by ourselves, this study investigates randomly 204 managerial staffs, to analyze their
money profiles, and the relation between money profiles and unethical activity. The results show that there
are 8 factors of MES (Good, Evil, Make Money, Budget Money, Success, Respect, Intrinsic, Motivator) and
four money attitude profiles (Achieving Money Worshiper, Careless Money Admirer, Apathetic Money Han-
dler, and Money Repeller) in Chinese Managerial Staffs; Money Repeller has lest possibility to involve un-
ethical activity than Careless Money Admirer, Achieving Money Worshiper and Apathetic Money Handler.
