Methods Intramedu ary AVMs in 64 patients w ere review ed, the materia s inc ude a c inica data, angioarchitec- ture, therapeutic a ternatives and f e ow- up. Results A the 64 cases accepted endovascu ar treatment and most of them w ere embo ized by particu ate agents . Of them 17 cases were surgica y excised after embo ization. As fo ow- up, 14/ 64 patients ( 21172% ) are neuro ogica y norma and 47/ 64 ( 77144 % ) have improved their c inica conditions and neuro ogica def icits. 8/ 64 ( 121 64) remained c inica y stab e. 4/ 64 ( 6125) presented transient worsening of their c inica condition after embo ization , permanent morbidity occurred in one patient ( 1156% ) . Conclusion Par- ticu ate embo ization is current y p aying an important ro e in intramedu ary AVMs, but its recana ization rate is high ( 89% ) .
