My grandma was a short woman with grey hair. with 在这句中的意思是“长着，带着”，表特征。 with的常见用法：表伴随，意为“与……一起”，表所有，意为“拥有，具有”，表用工具，意为“用……”。 e.g. She often made music with her friends. He knew a man with a lot of money. She was a very good cook. cook 意思是“厨师”，而cooker意思是“厨具，炉具” 3．I wil never forget the taste,and the small as well. as well 意思是“除……之外，也”，与too意思相同；as well as意思是“和，不但……而且……”，A as well as B做主语时，谓语动词应与A保持一致。 e.g. Jason as well as I is wrong. She is our friend as well as our teacher. 4. Grandma took care of my family. take care of意思是“照顾，照料”，与look after意思相同。 5. I hope we will always remain friends.. remain 意思是“仍然是，保持不变”，作连系动词，后面可加形容词，名词，介词短语等。 e.g. The three men remained silent You can’t let room remain like this.. 6. Mr Li is strict about our studies. be strict about 意思是“对某事要求严格”，be strict with sb. 对某人严格要求。 e.g. Dad is very strict with us about our table manners.. 二、句子解析 1. She often tells me jokes to make me laugh, but she never makes fun of others. (1) …tell me jokes to make me laugh意思是“讲笑话去逗我笑。” to do 表目的。 （2）make sb. laugh意思是“都某人笑”，make是“使役”动词，后加动词原形，类似的动词还有：let,have. e. g. I usually get up early to go to school on time.
