M e thod s　U rodynam ic studiesw ere carried out in 156 ch ildrenw ith PNE and 2 0 childrenw ith upper urinary tract d isfunction but norm al low er urinary tract function. B ladder pressu re-capacity during filling, pressure-flow study du ring voiding and urethral pressure profilom etry w ere perform ed. 120 patien ts w ith m onosymp tom atic primary enuresis (M PE bedwetting as the sole symp tom )and 36 patientsw ith comp licated prim ary enu resis (CPE bedwetting associatedw ith diurnal urinary loss, s uatting, urge incontinence). R e- su lts　O f 120 patientsw ith M PE, 6 8 (56. 7% )show ed typical unstab le detrusor contractions, 4 low-com- p liance b ladders and 9 m axmi um b ladder capacity (MBC )/norm al bladder capacity (CBC )≤ 80%. O f 36 patien tsw ith CPE, 2 9(80. 6%) showed detrusor instability(D I), 8 decreased b ladder comp liance and 12 M BC /CBC≤80%.
