Regarding the areal system theory of the re - lation between people and land as the guidance,this research builds the evaluation systems of urban- rural transformation and rural regional multifunctionrespectively, andconductsthe quantitative evaluation on the characteristics of urban-rural transformation and rural regional function in Beijing City. The results show: 1)
