Abstract. This pap er presents the second part of a study conducted at
DMR Consulting Group during the development of a corp orate memory.
It presents a comparison of four ma jor formalisms for the representation
of business pro cesses: UML (Uni ed Mo deling Language), PIF (Pro cess
Interchange Format), WfMC (Work
ow Management Coalition) frame-
work and conceptual graphs. This comparison shows that conceptual
graphs are the b est suited formalism for representing business pro cesses
