11 Fine Verses of Jia Dao of his Shengan Wenji (collection of
poems): “Jia Dao wrote ‘Wind of the Yangtze River urges the
guest to set sail, but the rain retains the traveler in the lonely
house.’ These two verses, one of the best works in his lifetime
achievement, were never made public in any of his poetry
collections, except quoted in the Poetry Annotations of Su
Dong-Po. The significance of this piece lies in its value as a
