Methods 35 patients with sputum more than 30g/d and 35 less than 30g/d with AECOPD were randomised to receive, on alternate days(the first day or the third), either active cycle of breathing techniques for 15-20 min/time,3 times/d, comprising postural drainage, or pursed lips combined with diaphragmatic Breathing and deep breathing (standardised physiotherapy,SP) during 3 days of the treatment of an exacerbation of respiratory symptoms. Expectorated sputum 、SpO2 and heart rate was collected during and 1hour after each treatment and weighed.
