WAN Overview—This section describes when to use WAN connections and different types of WAN connection options. Configuring HDLC Encapsulation—This section describes when to use HDLC and how to enable it on a serial point-to-point connection. PPP Encapsulation Overview—This section describes how PPP and PPP authentication works.
