CPW-FED STAR SHAPE ANTENNA; To realize input impedance matching, an offset configuration of two triangular patches is studied in which distance between centroid of inverted triangular patch “C1” is varied with respect to centroid of normal triangular patch “C2.” This variation realizes star shape patch as shown in Figure 2(a).;; To improve the impedance matching at lower frequencies, vertex tip of the inverted triangle near CPW fed position is chopped off, as shown in Figure 4(a).With chopping the length, CPW feed is effectively placed near the minimum impedance point at the first resonant mode in triangular patch. ;; It is observed from current variation that impedance at that resonant mode can be reduced if CPW fed is placed toward right-hand side in star-shaped patch as shown in Figure 6(b).;;To validate the simulated result, antenna was fabricated for x= 12 mm, y = 7.5 mm, s =6 mm, and t = 4 mm on FR4 substrate and was fed using SMA panel type connector. The antenna copolar broadside gain is more than 2 dBi over most of the BW with a peak gain of above 3 dBi. ;3. CONCLUSION;THANKYOU
