* * * * * * * * * Large part of TCG technology is concerned with proving that the information delivered by a platform is trustworthy. TCG technology embeds a root-of-trust (actually multiple roots of trust) into a platform. That’s why it’s not practical to retrofit TCG technology into older platforms. * * * * * * * Roots of trust: TPM and RTM. RTM makes the initial measurement of executable software, stores the result (a digest) in a TPM and stores the measurement in normal memory. TPM has signing keys, and signs the digests that it holds. A recipient knows the TPM’s public signing key, and c
