The study of the environmental caπying capacity of Suzhou traditional gardens , which are listed on the catalogue of world cultural heritage , is not only related to the healthy and sus- tainable development of tourism industry, but also to the scientific protection and management of the world cul- tural heritage. After analyzing the data of recent years according to the new guidelines , this paper points out many problems in the environmental caπying capacity of Suzhou traditional gardens , and provides the manage- ment department involved with corresponding countermeasures.
