Enable the Ss to understand the meaning of the dialogue. Difficult points 1. How to grasp the main idea of each paragraph each passage. Teaching methods 1. Skimming scanning methods: To make the Ss get a good understanding of the text. 2. Task-based teaching method: To make the Ss grasp what they’ve learned in class. 3. Pair works of group: To get every student to take part in the teaching-and-learning activities. 4. Competition and role-play method: To arouse the Ss’ interest Teaching procedures Step 1 Leading in (Group competition and introduction of the form of business organizations.) 1. Check the answers to the quiz to find out which group knows the most. 2. Ask the Ss to introduce the form of business organizations. (You can find some reference materials in PPT.) Step 2 Warming up 1. Ask the Ss to finish the exercises of word study. (You can find the Ex in the Textbook P37 Match Terms and Definitions.) 2. Ask the Ss to listen to the recorder and answer the following questions. (Show the questions on the computer screen.) Q1: What are Tracy and Jason talking about? Q2: How much money will they set aside as Daniel’s education fund? Step 3 Role-play 1. Ask the Ss to read the dialogue in pairs. 2. Ask the Ss to make up their own dialogues imitating the text book. Step 4 Discussion assessment 1. Ask the Ss to discuss the dialogue they make up. 2. Let the Ss make self assessment and partner assessment.
