Howev er , t he definition of spont aneou s p rocess given by variou s t ext book s differ s , t he charact eri stics of spont aneou s p rocess have been differently comp rehended in t he t ext book s , and furt her more , t he crit eria do not complet ely correspond wit h t he definition in all of t he ca ses. Therefore , difficulties ari se in t eaching p rocess and t he app lication of t he second law of t hermo dynamics. In t hi s p ap er , att emp t s are made to give a rational suggestion on t he definition of spont aneou s p rocess and it s crit eria in t he di scu s sion s , wit h t he p urpo se of t he int roduction of spont aneou s p rocess.
