ABSTRACT
Theulrtastructur2lchangesoftheuterineendometriumandmyometriumintheperiod
ofinvolutionwerestudiedin9normalpostpartumewesbyusingscanningelectron
microscopeandtransmissionelecrtonmicroscope.Theobjectivesofthestudyweretoreveal
degradationchangesoftheuterinetissueduringtheperiodofinvolutionfromcelland
subcelllevels.
Theresultsrfomtheexaminationofscanningelectronmicroscoperevealedthatwithin
thedays1to7postpartumtheendometriumepitheliumwasbadlydamagedandthe
epitheliumcellslooseconnected.Thereweremanytissuedebrisonthesurfaceofthe
endomertium.Thedamagedareaoftheendometriumreduced,andsomenewepitheliumcell
appearedinthedamagedareabythe13thdaypostpartum;NewlyBowedcellsandglands
increasedintheirnumbersonthesurfaceoftheendometrium .Bytheday25the
endomertiumwerealmostcoveredbytheepitheliumcellsanduntiltheday31postpartum,
thesurfaceoftheendometriumwasrestoredentirely,andtheuterineglandincreasedintheir
numbersandpossessedthesecretaryfunction.
Theresultsrfomtheexaminationofthetransmissionelecrtonmicroscoperevealedthat
withinthe1to7dayspostpartumthecollagenfibersweredisordered,brokenintosections,
dissolvedandformedvariouscavity;Thesizeofthesmoothmusclecellwassmallandthe
cytoplasmaofthesmoothmusclecellwasfilledwithmyofilamentMacrophagewasina
largenumber.Withinthedays7to13postpartum,macrophageobviouslyincreasedin
number,thecellularorgans,suchas,mitochondriaandroughendoplasmicreticulum(RER)
andfirstand/orsecondlysosomewereinalargenumberinthecytoplasm;Atthesametime,
therewasasmallnumberoftheplasmocyteinthemuscletissueoftheuterusandpericyte
withincreasedcellularorgansaroundcapillary.Afterthe13thdaypostpartum,thenewly
growedepitheliumcellsappearedontheendometrium;Thecollagensectionsreducedin
numberanditsfiberswereinaregulararrangement;Thenumberofmacrophageandthe
cellularorg
