The keys on these keyboards are often too small. The user can easily make a mistake when typing since simultaneous visual perception and finger taping in a tiny area is difficult. Very often the user will repeat the mistake and quickly become frustrated with typing. We have recently developed regional zooming keyboards to solve the small key problem. Our methods keep the overall look and feel of the original keyboard. The user only needs to simply tap to type, which is similar to the process on a physical keyboard. The regional zooming keyboards have many advantages and can make typing much easier on mobile phones.
