This is decided by social reality and local factor in Germany, reflecting sensitive intellectuals’ psychic fear and solitude at that moment during the process of the social abnormal development. Germany expressionism pays attention to the expression of personality and intense emotion, being opposed to objective mimicry and trying hard to break traditional ties in terms of contents. It emphasizes on simple abstraction and harmonious sentiments with strong symbol meanings and sarcastic compositions in respect of styles. This text expresses the arts forms of German expressionism from four angles with view to analyzing and thinking of its formation. In part one, we discuss the pioneers of German expressionism, the art tendencies and propositions of different schools in German expressionism in order to clarify the formation and development of doctrines and arts ideas of expressionism.
