Moreover there was less survey on this aspect. By choosing 20 zones in Suzhou city as samples (tested objects), the effects of plants shading degree and configurations on environment temperature and humidity were investigated. The results show that in summer in the city, larger area of plants with shaded in the local region played a role in cooling and humidification, while in the aspect of plant configuration, and more, air flow and thus contribute to achieve a cooling effect humidifi cation, the high vegetation shading levels decreased of air temperature, the air
