Module 3 On the radio Unit 1 Remember to look out for the red light. 课型 Listening and speaking 教学目标 1. To get the specific information through listening to the short conversation; 2. To understand the main information of the long conversation; 3. To talk about one’s won listening experience about the radio with the words learnt in this unit; to understand sentences with verbs followed by v. –ing form or infinitive 4. Key vocabulary: win, newsreader, report, reporter, score, everybody, mention, prepare, goal, hate, ssh, look out for, Don’t mention it. 5. Key structure: Verbs followed by v.-ing form or (to) +v. 教学重点 Verbs followed by v.-ing form or (to) +v. 教学难点 To get the specific and main information through listening to the conversations. 教学方法 PWP Communicative 教学用具 Multi-Media (or Tape recorder, OHP) 教学过程 Step 1: Revision Task: Recall what we have learned in the last Module. Directions: 1. Label the pictures with the phrases. (1). Read through the phrases in the box and have the Ss. Repeat them after you. (2).Ask them to label them in the pictures on the screen. (3).Make some sentences with the phrases. Ask students to speak out as many as they can. 2. Revise object clauses. Eg. I know (that) foreigners find China very different from their own countries. I don’t know who will come. I’ve heard that you play in the school orchestra. I asked your secretary whether she could come or not. Do you know if Sally Maxwell is here yet? Can you tell me where you’re from? … Ask students to speak out as many as they can. Step 2: Lead in: Task : Introduce them to the new words. Directions: 1. Introduce the new words of this unit. And list them on the board. 2. Read after the teacher. 3. Practise reading the words. 4. Ask the students to look at the pictures. Elicit what they can see. If there are any new words, add them to the list on the board. 5. Make some sentences using the new words from the whole class. Task: Introduction of world’s radio stati
