· 844 · 2 ORIGINALARTICLE EffectsofDifferentExtractsofKanggushu(抗骨疏)on OsteoporosisinModelRatsandtheUnderlyingMechanisms ABSTRACT Objective：Toinvestigatethepreventiveeffectsandpossibleunderlyingmechanismofdifferent extractsofKanggushu(抗骨疏)onosteoporosisinovariectomizedrats．Methods：0Behundredandsixty- fivefemaleSDratsweredividedinto11groups：control，sham，model，XianlingGubaoCapsule(仙灵骨葆胶囊)，nilestriol，Kanggushuaqueousextracthigh-，medium-，andlow-doseandsuetextracthigh-，medium。，and low-dosegroups．Theosteoporosismodelwasmadebyovariectomizingtherats．Thelatter8groupswere 一一一～ administeredintragastriclywithXianlingGubaoCapsule，nilestriol，Kanggushuaqueousextractandsuetextract for12weeks，respectively，whiletheother3groupswereadministeredorallysaline．Thewholebodybone mineraldensity。bonemineraIcontent，organcoefficientofuterus，serum estradioIandalkalinephosphatase contents，bloodcalcium，phosphorus，interleukin6andboneGla-proteinlevelsaftertreatmentweremonitored． Additionally，three—pointbendingtestoffemur，HE staining，andscanningelectronmicroscopewereperformed toexplorethepharmacodynamicsandunderlyingmechanisms．Results：lncomparisonwithovariectomizedrats ofmodelgroup，Kanggushuaqueousextracthigh-doseresulted inan increasedbonemineraldensity，bone mineraIcontentandorgan coefficientofuterus。improved estradiollevel，and improvedmaximum loadand structuraIstiffness(P0．05orP0．01)．Two-dimensionalandthree-dimensionaItrabecularstructurewasalso observedunderHEstainingandscanningelectronmicroscopy．andthenumberandthicknessoftrabecularbone inKanggushuaqueousextracthigh-dosegroupwassignificantlyincreasedcomparedtothemodelgroup，whilethe lipiddropletsinbonemarrow cavityweresignificantlyIess．However．therewerenosignificantdifferencesinblood 丰～～一憔一=一一量一
