ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect of the IPSS for the treatment of idiopathic scoliosis in growing children Methods 29 patients with the idiopathic scoliosis were treated with IPSS, of which the correct rate of Cobb angle and the clinicaleffect with the spinal column curvewere observed preoperatively and postoperatively. esults 23 cases werefollowedup with an average of 13 months,the correct rate of Cobb angle was 8838%. Conclusion The IPSS is an effective instrumentation in correcting scoliosis in growing chil dren, which does not restrain spinal growth and development and does not need spinal fusion during correction of the lateral curvature.
