行政院國家科學委員會補助專題研究計畫成果報告 地理鄰近性、研發組織網絡與廠商知識傳遞之研究 計畫類別： ■個別型計畫 □整合型計畫 計畫編號： NSC 98-2410-H-004 -145 -SSS 執行期間： 98/08/01 ～ 99/07/31 計 畫 主 持 人：邊泰明 兼任研究助理：林淑雯 執行單位：政 治 大 學 地 政 系 中 華 民 國 9 9 年 7 月 3 1 日 摘 要 地理鄰近性所產生的聚集經濟效果已為眾多文獻所支持。然而，隨著全球化 的生產活動形成，跨界交流活動日益頻繁，組織鄰近性與網絡拓展了研究的地域 範圍。研究者逐漸意識廠商內部的異質性，進而探討廠商內部能力如何與外部知 識有所連結。本研究從鄰近性的兩個面向出發，檢驗地理鄰近性與組織鄰近性的 內涵與相互關係，並視其為外部知識；其次，納入廠商內部能力的影響要素，建 構外部知識、內部能力與創新績效之影響路徑。以生技廠商為對象，運用結構方 程模型進行模式驗證。結果證實地理鄰近性有其重要性，但必須透過組織鄰近性 之作用，始對於創新績效產生影響，除了外部知識的效果，廠商內部吸收能力亦 成為影響創新績效的重要因素。 關鍵字：地理鄰近性、組織鄰近性、網 絡、吸收能力、創新績效 Abstract It has been proved by many literatures that geographical proximity attributes to the cluster phenomenon. However, with globalization of production and prevalence of cross-area activities, the geographical scope in related researches has been extended as organizational proximity and network are considered. Gradually recognizing the heterogenic among firms, scholars start to examine the connection between firm’s internal capability and external knowledge.Regarding geographical proximity and organizational proximity as a kind of external knowledge, this study first identifies these two proximities and their relationship, then introducing firm’s internal capability to construct a model showing the influential routes among external knowledge, internal capability and innovation performance. Using biotechnology firms as research objectives and Structural Equation Modeling as method, this study finds that both geographical proximity and firm’s absorptive capability are important to firm’s innovation performance but the former requires organizational proximity to contribute.
