目前主要从事全球变化及人类活动影响下的流域水环境地球化学研究。主要利用地球化学示踪手段，研究地球表生水体中的微观和宏观地球化学过程，从而讨论与之相关的流域风化过程、全球变化及其区域响应、全球生物地球化学循环、水污染机理、污染物迁移转化动力学以及其它相关的环境效应问题。发表各类学术论文80余篇，主持国家973项目课题、国家自然科学基金等各类项目20余项。
