Ltd . , Xinjiang Street , Pingf ang District , Harbin, 150006, China ) Abstract: Tensile fracture behavior of Al- Mg alloys w ith different chemical composit ion were studied in this pa- per. The alloy w ith high Na content exhibited very low tensile elongation, while the alloys w ith low Na content exhib- ited high tensile elongat ion . Fracture observation show ed that the alloy exhibited britt le fracture w ith intergranular section and cleavage facet. Whereas the alloy w ith low Na content exhibited ductile fracture w ith dimples. Mg con- tent did not affect the fracture behavior of the alloys.
