Henan opera 生命科学学院 Introduction Henan opera is the biggest local opera in China.It is developed from Henan bangzi,which is popular in Henan,Hebei,Shandong,Shanxi,Hubei,Gansu,Xinjiang etc. Hua mulan Henan opera have five genre in Tune:Xiangfu diao(祥符调)，to Kaifeng as the center for singing ; Yudong diao,to Shangqiu as the center;Yuxi diao,to Luoyang as the center;Shahe diao(沙河调)，which popular in South eastern of Henan;Modern trend ,the comprehensive and reformation of the four genre above. Henan opera was listed as National intangible cultural heritage , On May 20, 2006 Characteristic Powerful tune The spirit of enthusiasm Strong feelings Popular and modesty Natural color Close to the lives of ordinary people Representative figure Chang xiangyu(1922.09.15 -2004.06.01 ) Its masterpieces:Hua mulan , The Legend of the Red Lantern Xiao xiangyu is her granddaughter ,also is her apprentice(徒弟) Chen suzhen (1918.4.30 -1994.3.29) She worked for Henan opera about 66 years,was honoured as “ Mei lanfang in Henan ”at sixteen and “Henan opera Queen”at seventeen Cui lantian(1926-2003) She was good at portarying woman in tragedy. Its presentative work:Qin xianglian Ma jinfeng(1922--),Caoxian in shandong Mu guiying is her most influential fingure Representative repertoire Lady General Mu Takes Command (穆桂英挂帅)：the story is about Yang general defend Song dynasty Chao yang gou Hua mulan Qi pin zhi ma guan Liyuanchun Liyuanchun is a TV show held by Henan TV,which provides a stage for ordinary people to show their opera hobby on TV,and also promote the spread of opera in modern society.
