This platform employs module design methodology and carries out the communication among the modules using unified data structures. The WTK-based 3D virtual studio is the kernel of the platform. It creates virtual scenes by parsing the simulation description file defined in this platform, provides users with many advanced functions, i.e., walkthrough with 6 DOF, real-time interaction, real-time video composition, and GIF animation, and supports a variety of virtual reality equipments. Through converting the 3D structure data of biological macromolecule into the simulation description file, the 3D structure and the dynamic evolving process of biological macromolecule can be visualized on this platf
