Abstract: The purpose of the authors to put forward such a proposition as Wushu state is to settle the issue of the
ideal of Wushu practitioners. For Wushu parishioners, Wushu state is a world of Wushu in general meaning, an ideal
world abstracted from real Wushu life. Wushu state can enlighten Wushu life, and interpret the ideal and meaning
that should be achieved in Wushu practice, being the angle of Wushu practitioner’s soul. According to level classifi-
cation, Wushu state includes “natural state”, “academic state”, “artistic state” and “philosophic state”. What kind of
Wushu state a Wushu practitioner has determines what kind of Wushu life the practitioner will have.
