Abstract Accountancy (profession) or accounting (methodology) is the measurement, disclosure or provision of assurances about financial information that helps managers, investors, tax authorities, lenders and other stakeholders and decision makers for resource allocation and policy making decision s. The purpose of this paper was to ascertain the role of ICT in the teaching and learning of accounting education courses in the universities offering accounting in Ekiti State. Three objectives, research questions and one hypothesis guided the study. Thirty full- time accounting educators from Ekiti State University and Afe Babalola University in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State responded to the questionnaire items.
