In the end, this paper suggests tha,t the ant-i inrushing stability of confined w ater foundation pit in soft soil area shou ld be analyzed from perviousness and in rush ingm echanism of soil at the bottom of the pit. For mi pervious laye,r the an t-i inrushing stab ility of the pit is analyzed from the plastic dam age of soi,l but for sem ipervious laye,r the ant-i inrushing stability of the pit is analyzed from the seepage dam age of soil.
