By mathematic statistics, the paper analyzed the relations between the occ rrence degree, early dates of brown plant hopper and climaticbiological factors in single late rice in Shanghai.The res lts showed that the occ r rence of early dates significantly correlated w ith rainfall days from April 16 to 30 and average ridge posit ion of s btropical highpress re on 500 hPa layer from 110 to 150E of the last October, and their coefficients were - 06307 and 0.4781, respectively .The occ rrence degree related to mean minim m temperat re from Jan ary 1 to Febr ary 10 and rainfall amo nt in J ly , and their coefficients were0. 5218 and 0. 5203, respective ly; w hile the coefficient for
