However, how to make use of the historical data to evaluate distribution transformers optimal operation is still an urgent problem to be solved. This paper calculates many indices of the operational parameters from massive historical loading data to evaluate the distribution transformers operational status. Moreover, this paper makes use of the indices and applies the modified principal component analysis (PCA) to evaluate the optimal operation states, which can reduce the dimensions of the indices through matrix conversion, abstract the principal components.
