The present paper publishes the results of the species identification and quan- titative statistics for the bird remains from the site. Based on the environmental and population features of the birds ，it recon- structs ancient environments and researches man ’ s bird －hunting modes and seasons. Moreover ，the authors make a retrospect on the archaeozoologcal studies of Chinese bird remains by analyzing the species of the bird remains from archaeological sites and investigating the origins of domestic fowls ，sum up shortcomings in the present relative researches ，and put forward suggestions and
