Met hod s The characteristic MRI appearances of 23 cases of histologically confirmed Rathke s Cleft Cyst involved in our study wereanalyzed retrospectively . Resul ts Appearances of Rathke s Cleft Cyst were mostly roundlikein sella turcicaand dumbbelllike growed up sella turcica on plain scanning of MRI. T he cysts were mostly hypointense or evenintense or hyperintense on T weighted imaging 1 ( T WI) and hyperintense on T weighted imaging (T WI) . Appearances of 6 cases were floating nodes in cyst and of 2 cases were 1 2 2 seen perciptant under thecyst. On enhanced MRI: M ost lesions present no obvious enhancement with only 3 cases present cystwall enhancement. Concl usi on MRI appearances of Rathke s Cleft Cyst present multiple but some characteristic. Enhanced MRI have unique advantages in the diagnosis of Rathke s Cleft Cyst.
