37 　3 　　　 Vol.37, No.3 　2008 8 ACTA GEODAETICA et CARTOG RAPHICA SINICA Aug., 2008 　　:1001-1595(2008)03-0342-07 :P208　　　　:A POS 袁修孝 , 430079 POS-supported Bundle Block Adjustment YUAN iu-xiao Schoolof Remote Sensing and Inf ormation Engineering, Wuhan University, Wuhan 430079, Hubei, China Abstract:The basic principle of combined bundle block adjustment for POS data and photogrammetric observa- tions is described in this paper.A fundamental error equation is established according to the rigorous geometric relationships among aerial camera, GPS receiver and IM U (inertial measurement unit).A POS-supported bun- dle block adjustment system WuCAPS is developed by author based on the basic mathematical model.Two sets of aerial images, at scales 1 ∶2 500 and 1 ∶60 000, with POS data taken over two projects of theflat topogra- phy in China were processed by WuCAPS.The experimental results have verified that the accuracy of POS- supported bundle block adjustment using the POS determined positions and attitudes of aerial camera between uncalibrated and calibrated is very closed.When one ground control point (GCP)in the each corner around the block is set, the coordinate accuracy of photogrammetric points can meet the requirements of the specifications of topographic mapping.This can not only reduce the workload of field GCPs translocation, but avoiding the implantation of calibration field.Therefore, it can save POS operation cost dramatically.In the same time, a novel, rapid and economical method for aerial triangulation is proposed in this paper.
