The Classic Poetry G5 谭丽琪 熊好雨 brief introduction The earliest collection of Chinese poems. Including 305 poems. From the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty to the middle of the Spring and Autumn Period. Its Name Originally called Shi (poems) and Sanbai (Three Hundred Poems). Given the name , Shijing , from the Confucians of the Han Dynasty. Also called Maoshi (Mao Poems) because of by the hand of Mao Heng (毛亨) of the Han Dynasty. contents Feng, Ya, Song and fu, bi, xing are collectively known as the “six divisions”. contents As far as the technique of experession is concerned, it is divided into fu (赋), bi(比), xing (兴) Fu poems are those with a straightforward narrative content. Bi poems are those with explicit comparisons. Xing poems are based on implied comparisons. contents According to the tunes ,the poems were divided into three categories: Feng (风,,Ballads) Ya (雅,Festal Odes) Song (颂,Sacrificial Songs) Feng Consists of 160 poems. Including 15 countries and areas : Zhounan (周南 Zhou and the south), Shaonan (召南), Bei (邶), Yong (鄘), Wei (卫), Wang (王), Zheng (郑), Qi (齐), Wei (魏), Tang (唐), Qin (秦), Chen (陈), Gui (桧), Cao (曹) and Bin (豳) Most of the poems in Feng are folk songs from along the Yellow River and only a few of them are works of the noble. Ya Consists of 105 poems. Divided into Xiaoya (小雅, The Minor Festal Odes) and Daya (大雅, The Major Festal Odes). Basically written by the noble, the people of the upper class. Said to be regular music, traditionally sung at court festivities, ceremonies, banquets and other solemn occasions. Song Other name, Hymn . Consists of 40 poems. The dance music sung at sacrifices of ancestral spirits of the royal house. Including the sacrificial hymns and songs in the courts of Zhou, Lu and Shang. master work 鹊巢 QUE CHAO 维鹊有巢,维鸠居之。 之子于归,百两御之。 The nest is the magpies ; The dove dwells in it .
