Taboos regulate peoples speech act and social communication. The great differences between Chinese and Western cultures directly lead to the differences between Chinese and English taboos. So, either in English or in Chinese, we will encounter some because of the different cultures and customs, will cause the other backlash, resulting in some words we should avoid to use, is taboo language. Intercultural communication is an important part of modern communication. Understanding language taboos can make cross-cultural communication more appropriate. Chinese and English taboos reflected in all aspects of social life, so that from the pragmatic perspective the similarities and differences of taboo in intercultural communication has important significance. This paper mainly analyzes the similarities and differences between Chinese and English taboos pragmatic principles, summed up the analysis of Taboo Pragmatic Differences between three common principles and to disable the literary works of Chinese and English Animal Idioms and appellation etc.. To further explore the pragmatic expression of Chinese and English taboos from the two aspects of syntax and semantics of euphemism euphemism taboo, solve the problems in intercultural communication through pragmatic art.
