General geology is the most basic course of geology. It introduces the object, content and method of geological research. This course describes the layer structure of the earth and each circle of the main physical properties and chemical composition, common minerals and rocks, a variety of internal and external dynamic geological characteristics, lithosphere motion rule and its evolution history, geological history of the ancient evolution of basic geology knowledge. According to geology, the earth is a dynamic planet that has been evolving for 4 billion 500 million years. Therefore, after the course has been completed, students should master the unique thinking mode of Geology and the concept of temporal and spatial evolution, and grasp the dynamic evolution characteristics of the earth in space and time.
